ABOUT ME

If the renaissance period has the abilities to express more than one detail of a story inside of a single crafted piece of art, who says we can’t find creative ways in making the visuals of a film to convey important elements that dialogue cannot.

I’ve spent a lot of my time in drawing single framed pieces that involved characters in certain settings. This led me into my interests on how limiting dialogue can make a scene feel more natural and appealing. While dialogue is an important element to define a character’s personality or to tell details that the imagery can’t, the practice of relying on visuals is a way of giving the audience a ‘side B’ to the story.

It is my ambition to take this into new boundaries someday with my love for fantasy. To think what could be beyond many people’s imaginations and have them witness the creativity and beauty of crafting a world for eyes to behold. That’s the ultimate way to make any setting a character. Audiences can have reactions to the characters’ surroundings in ways that could bring delight or fear. I aspire to captivate audiences into a moment of escapism. From the possible to the impossible, I have grown to understand that the frame in filmmaking truly is my favorite canvas for art.
